St Pauli is sprouting

Hamburg has, at last, its own urban garden. Thanks to the guidance and inspiration from the the very successful Prinzessinnengarten in Berlin we now have our very own version of it. The Gartendeck has sprouted up on the roof of a parking garage in St Pauli and is available to everybody who feels like getting their hands dirty and getting involved in growing veggies. It is essentially a temporary (so long as summer lasts) community project funded by Das Internationale Sommerfest Hamburg. Go check out www.gartendeck.de and go get your hands dirty
